\n\tGael Monfils n'aura fait long feu ni à Montréal ni à Cincinnati. Le Français, qui avait été sorti dès le 2e tour lors du Masters 1000 de Montréal, a fait encore moins bien lundi, en se faisant éliminer d'entrée (6-4 \/ 7-5) par le Polonais Jerzy Janowicz, 52e joueur mondial.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tOutre le résultat, c'est le contenu qui est très inquiétant pour La Monf' à quelques jours du début de l'US Open (31 août – 13 septembre). Déconcentré, le Français s'est précipité sur tous les points et a accumulé les fautes directes. Après le match, Monfils lui-même était très déçu de ce qu'il avait produit. « Ca fait très longtemps que je n'ai pas aussi mal joué » a-t-il ainsi lancé.
